In II Corinthians 5:8 Paul said, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."  Jesus said in John 14:2, "I go to prepare a place for you."  We call this place Heaven.  There, all those redeemed by the grace of God through their acceptance of Jesus Christ, shall live through all eternity.

No one knows when the time will come for us to become absent from the body and present with the Lord.  For some, that time will come before the end of this day.  For others, that time may be still years ahead.  One thing is for sure; we shall all one day be absent from this body of flesh.  By faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour, you can be present with the Lord.

Matthew Henry, in his Commentary on the Bible wrote, "The way to Heaven lies through the wilderness of this world."  Just one glimpse of Jesus will be worth all the wilderness trials we may go through.  In Heaven, faith shall end in sight, for we shall see Jesus who is life.  Hope will no longer be needed, for we shall have the reality of Heaven.  Oh, but love shall remain for God is love.  Just think!  Living in the presence of love for all eternity!  What a lovely thought.

Please make Heaven your eternal destination by accepting Jesus as Saviour today.  Join us at Shirley Grove as we press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Have a blessed day.
